Mobile Welding Across Dallas–Fort Worth

The Metroplex stretches more than sixty miles east to west, so Alpha routes DFW requests to partner welders by county and corridor rather than by one central dispatch. From Fort Worth’s stockyards and rail yards to Plano’s office parks and Denton’s farm roads, partners bring stick, MIG, flux-core and TIG to the job. Coverage is confirmed for each address, never guaranteed by city name. Call 979-250-7486 or send photos and a location to get routed.

Coverage confirmed per address. Same-day visits subject to partner availability.

Regional coverage

What mobile welding looks like in North Texas

DFW is a logistics and construction market first. Warehouses along I-20, I-35W and the 635 loop, data centers and corporate campuses in Collin County, and tilt-wall retail across the suburbs keep partners busy with dock steel, racking, bollards, handrails and structural connections. The residential side adds thousands of iron fences and gates in new subdivisions, plus pool and balcony railings.

The climate is different from Houston. Summers are hot and dry, winters bring ice storms and real freeze-thaw cycles, and the wind on the prairie is relentless. Steel moves more between seasons here; expansion gaps, gate latches and post footings matter, and welds on long fence runs crack if nobody allowed for movement. Black clay in Dallas County heaves footings; Tarrant County has more rock near the surface.

Partners generally run engine-driven multiprocess rigs for steel, with TIG and argon available for aluminum and stainless. Heavy equipment on the region’s highway and rail projects gets preheated, beveled repairs rather than quick cover-up passes.

  • Thirteen city pages across Dallas, Tarrant, Collin and Denton counties
  • Routed by county and corridor, not a single dispatch point
  • Commercial, logistics, residential and agricultural work
  • Freeze-thaw and wind considered in repair design
  • Same-day requests considered, subject to partner availability

Typical jobs

What DFW partners repair most

Six jobs that come up across the Metroplex every week.

Warehouse dock and rack steel

Bent dock bumpers, cracked leveler frames, damaged pallet racking and sheared bollards in the I-20, I-35W and Alliance distribution corridors.

Subdivision iron fence and gates

Rusted pickets, broken welds at rails, sagging driveway gates in Frisco, McKinney, Mesquite and Mansfield-style tract neighborhoods.

Fleet trailer repairs

Landscaping, construction and box trailers with cracked tongues, ramps and crossmembers, serviced in yards rather than hauled to a shop.

Commercial railings and stairs

Loose handrails, cracked stringers and balcony rails at apartments and offices, often with inspection or code requirements attached.

Highway and rail project equipment

Bucket teeth, cracked booms and worn blade edges on heavy equipment working the region’s constant road building.

Ag and acreage work

Pipe fence, cattle guards, feeders and implement hitches on acreage around Denton, north Collin County and south Tarrant County.

Why Alpha Welding

Why DFW customers route through Alpha

One request, matched to the right side of the Metroplex.

County-level routing

Collin County jobs go to Collin County partners; Fort Worth jobs stay in Tarrant. Nobody crosses the whole Metroplex for a small repair.

Straight talk on timing

If the nearest available partner is on the other side of 635, you hear the travel charge and window before anything is booked.

Repairs built for movement

Partners account for freeze-thaw, wind load and clay heave so fence and gate repairs survive the next season.

Clear estimates

Scope, access and travel are itemized. If the metal is worse than the photos showed, extra work is discussed first.

How it works

How a DFW request is routed

Four steps, the same from Denton to Mesquite.

01

Send address and photos

Street address, pictures and the metal type. That places the job in a county and tells us the equipment needed.

02

Match to a partner pool

Dallas and east, Collin County, Tarrant and the Mid-Cities, or Denton and the north.

03

Estimate and window

A scope, price range and time window that respects the partner’s route and Metroplex traffic.

04

Weld, clean, review

Prep, weld, grind and clean up, then a walk-through of what was done and what to watch.

Regional guide

The Metroplex, quadrant by quadrant

Here is how DFW breaks down for partner routing and what each part of the region typically needs.

Dallas and the east side

Dallas, Garland and Mesquite share I-30, I-635 and US-80. The core brings commercial railings, security gates, restaurant stainless and small-shop equipment where parking and staging matter more than distance. Garland and Mesquite add light manufacturing, warehouse docks and established neighborhoods with older iron fence that has rusted at the rails. Black clay heaves footings across this side of the county.

Collin County

Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Richardson are the corporate-campus and new-subdivision belt along the Dallas North Tollway, US-75 and SH-121. Calls run to HOA-grade ornamental fence and gates, pool and balcony railings, tenant build-outs in office parks and retail centers, and construction equipment on sites that never seem to stop. Partner density is good here.

Welder completing an on-site repair

Tarrant County and the Mid-Cities

Fort Worth, Arlington, Grand Prairie and Irving sit on I-30, I-20, SH-183 and the airport corridor. Fort Worth brings rail, stockyards-area ag and the Alliance logistics hub; Arlington and Grand Prairie bring aerospace suppliers, warehouses and the entertainment district; Irving brings Las Colinas corporate steel and DFW Airport freight yards. More surface rock here than in Dallas County.

Denton and the north

Denton and Carrollton anchor I-35E and the north. Denton mixes university-town commercial with real acreage: pipe fence, cattle guards, horse facilities and farm equipment on roads north of Loop 288. Carrollton is industrial parks and older established neighborhoods along Belt Line. Partners here are fewer, so a day or two of lead time is normal.

Before a partner rolls, have this ready

  • Full street address and nearest highway
  • Photos of the break and surrounding metal
  • Metal type: steel, galvanized, stainless, aluminum
  • Access: gate code, truck parking, power on site

FAQs

Dallas–Fort Worth questions

What people ask before booking a partner in the Metroplex.

Roughly Denton to Mansfield and Fort Worth to Mesquite, with acreage addresses beyond that checked case by case. Partners sometimes reach Weatherford or Rockwall; we confirm before promising.

Often in Collin County and the Dallas core, subject to partner availability. Denton and far Tarrant County usually need a day or two of lead time.

Freeze-thaw and clay heave move posts, and long rail runs expand in summer heat. Repairs that ignore movement crack at the same spot; partners add bracing or relief where needed.

Yes, or after hours where the facility prefers it. Tell us the dock schedule and safety rules so a partner can plan the work around them.

Partners can field-weld connections where an engineer’s drawing and inspection are in place. Most DFW cities require permits and inspection for structural work.

Yes, through partners with TIG or spool-gun MIG. Restaurant stainless, aluminum ramps and truck boxes are routed to welders who do that work regularly.

Yes. After winter storms, partners straighten and reweld bent gate frames, carport posts and awning steel; bring photos so the estimate reflects the real damage.

Travel within the Metroplex, setup, expected weld time and consumables, listed separately so you can see how the number was built.

Yes. Partners match existing fence profiles and finishes where the HOA requires it. Share the architectural guidelines when you request the estimate.

Pick your city above. If it is not listed, use the nearest one or call with the address; routing works by location, not by page.
