Houston metro
Greater Houston is the densest part of the Alpha partner network. From Fulshear and Katy on the west side to Baytown on the Ship Channel, and from Conroe down to League City, partner welders bring stick, MIG and TIG to trailers, gates, equipment and commercial steel where they sit. Coverage is confirmed per address, not assumed from a ZIP. Call 979-250-7486 or send photos and a location, and we route the request to the partner nearest your side of town.
Coverage confirmed per address. Same-day visits subject to partner availability.
Regional coverage
Houston is not one market. A welder based off the Grand Parkway in Katy can be at a Fulshear ranch in twenty minutes and stuck on I-10 for ninety trying to reach Pasadena. So partners are grouped by side of town, and a request is routed to the pool that already works your area. That keeps travel charges down and response realistic.
The work is shaped by the climate and the economy. Humidity and Gulf salt air corrode anything unpainted; trailer crossmembers, fence posts at grade and dock equipment rust from the inside out. Expansive clay soil shifts posts and pulls driveway gates out of square every dry summer. The petrochemical corridor, the port, distribution parks along Beltway 8 and the home-building boom in Fort Bend and Montgomery counties generate a steady mix of industrial, commercial and residential calls.
Most partners run engine-driven stick and MIG rigs, and many carry TIG with argon for aluminum and stainless. Thick equipment repairs get preheat; galvanized fence gets ground back before welding; aluminum trailers get 5356 filler and a stainless brush that has never touched steel.
Typical jobs
The calls repeat across the metro, with a local twist on each side of town.
Utility, boat and cattle trailers with crossmembers and tongues eaten by humidity. Partners cut out thin steel and sleeve or replace it rather than welding over rust.
Clay movement and heat sag long steel gates in Katy, Cypress, Sugar Land and Pearland. Hinge rebuilds, bracing and post resets are weekly work.
Handrails, platforms, pipe supports and skids in Pasadena, Baytown and the Ship Channel, scheduled around plant safety and permit rules.
Dock bumpers, bollards, pallet racking and roll-up door frames along Beltway 8, 290 and I-45 distribution parks.
Bucket edges, cracked loader arms and dozer blades on home-building and civil sites from Fulshear to Conroe, welded in place with preheat on thick sections.
Boat trailers, docks, bay-house railings and truck boxes toward League City and Baytown, TIG or spool-gun MIG with the right filler.

Why Alpha Welding
One request reaches the right partner on the right side of town.
West-side jobs go to west-side partners; Ship Channel jobs go to partners who already carry plant credentials.
If the nearest available partner is an hour away, you hear that and the travel charge before you agree.
Rust is cut out, galvanizing is ground back and joints are beveled. Repairs that skip prep fail in Houston humidity.
Scope, access and travel are set out up front. Surprises in the metal are discussed before extra work starts.
How it works
Four steps from first message to finished weld.
Street address, a few pictures and the metal type. That tells us the quadrant and the equipment needed.
West and Fort Bend, north, east and south, or central Houston. We check who is available there.
You get a scope, a price range and a time window that fits the partner’s route and Houston traffic.
The partner preps, welds, grinds and cleans up, then walks you through the repair and what to watch.
Regional guide
Here is how the metro breaks down for partner routing, and what each side of town tends to need.
Katy, Cypress, Fulshear, Richmond, Rosenberg, Sugar Land, Missouri City and Stafford share the I-10, Westpark and 59 corridors and most of the region’s new-home construction. Calls run to driveway gates, ornamental fence, pool-deck railings, acreage ranch gates toward Fulshear and Richmond, and builder equipment on subdivision sites. Clay soil is the recurring villain; a gate that closed in March drags in August. Partners here are dense, so same-day is often realistic.
Spring, Tomball, The Woodlands, Conroe and Humble sit on I-45, 249 and 59 North. Pine-country acreage brings tractor implements, livestock trailers and pipe fence; The Woodlands brings HOA-compliant railings and commercial build-outs; Humble and the airport corridor bring fleet and dock work. Lake Conroe adds aluminum docks and boat trailers.
Pasadena, Baytown, League City and Pearland are the industrial and coastal side. Plant and terminal work along the Ship Channel follows site safety rules and often needs documented procedures. Salt air off Galveston Bay drives corrosion repairs on trailers, railings and dock hardware in League City. Pearland adds 288-corridor commercial and fast-growing residential.
Inside and just outside the 610 Loop, including Southwest Houston, the work is tighter and more urban: security gates on commercial lots, stair and balcony railings on townhomes, restaurant stainless, and small-shop equipment. Access and parking matter more than distance, so partners ask about staging before they roll.
Call 979-250-7486 with the address. We route to whichever partner pool reaches it fastest and tell you the realistic window.

FAQs
What people ask before booking a partner in the Houston area.
Roughly Fulshear to Baytown and Conroe to League City, with rural addresses beyond that checked case by case. A partner may reach Sealy or Alvin; we confirm before promising.
Often, on the west and north sides where partners are dense, subject to availability. Ship Channel and bay-area calls depend on who is free and on plant access rules.
Some do, with the required site orientation and permits. Tell us the facility and its requirements up front so we match a partner who already meets them.
Houston humidity and salt air corrode steel from the inside. Welding over thin, rusted metal produces porosity and a joint that cracks again. Partners cut back to sound steel first.
Yes, through partners with TIG or spool-gun MIG and argon. Aluminum needs a clean surface, the correct filler and a welder who does it regularly; we route accordingly.
Usually. The fix is often a post reset or brace plus hinge rebuild, not just a weld. Partners check the post footing before welding anything.
Yes. Partners in The Woodlands, Sugar Land and Katy work within HOA guidelines for railings and gates. Bring any architectural rules with you.
Partners can field-weld structural connections where an engineer’s drawing and inspection are in place. Houston and most suburbs require permits for structural work.
By job scope, access and travel within the metro. The estimate names each part so a west-side call and a bay-side call are priced on their own terms.
Pick your city from the list above. If it is not there, use the nearest one or call with the address; routing works by location, not by page.
Request an estimate
Send your address, a few photos and what broke. We confirm coverage on your side of town, estimate the work and schedule the visit.

Request welding service
Tell us what needs welding, where your project is located, and when you need service. Upload photographs if available so we can better understand the work.
