MOBILE WELDING – IRVING, TX
Irving runs on freight, hospitality and office space. Trucks cycle through the warehouses between SH-114 and SH-183, hotels and corporate campuses fill Las Colinas, and older neighborhoods south of SH-183 still have iron fences from the 1960s. When a dock plate tears loose or a trailer door hinge shears, nobody wants to shut a bay down and haul it anywhere. Alpha Mobile Welding TX coordinates partner welders who come to your dock, lot or driveway. Call 979-250-7486 with a photo and the address. We match the welder to the job and quote before dispatch.
Same-day service subject to partner availability. Commercial accounts can request recurring visits.
On-site welding
Most Irving calls come from facility managers, fleet supervisors and property owners who need something fixed without stopping operations. You send photos, tell us whether the site is a loading dock off Valley View Lane, a hotel garage in Las Colinas or a house in South Irving, and we size the job. A partner welder with the right rig – engine-driven stick and MIG for yard work, inverter TIG for stainless or thin aluminum – is assigned and a price range is agreed before anyone rolls.
On arrival the welder checks in with your site contact, confirms where to park and where to run leads, and sets up with the fire watch and screens commercial sites expect. Dock bumper brackets, bollards, trailer frames and rack uprights are cut back to sound metal, fit, welded and ground as needed. Work near a warehouse floor gets spark containment and a hot-work check before the arc strikes, and a fire watch after.
For residential calls in Valley Ranch or the older blocks around Irving Boulevard, the same rules apply at a smaller scale: a gate hinge or a railing base is repaired, primed and left ready for paint. The welder cleans up slag and grinding dust and reviews the repair with you before leaving.
Common calls
Freight, fleets and hospitality drive most of the calls in Irving.
Dock bumpers torn off, leveler lips cracked, edge-of-dock plates bent by trailers backing in hard. Partners rebuild bumper brackets, reweld plates and replace embedded angle so the bay reopens the same day when possible.
Bollards guarding doors, gas meters and drive-thrus along SH-183 and Belt Line Road get hit constantly. Partners cut off damaged posts, weld new pipe to base plates and anchor or core-set them in place.
Cracked crossmembers, broken door hinges, torn landing-gear mounts and damaged ICC bumpers on freight equipment. Fleet work is done in your yard so the unit stays in service.
Forklift-struck rack uprights, bent braces and loose mezzanine guards in distribution buildings. Partners splice or replace damaged sections and reweld guards to match the original design.
Parking-garage railings, pool fencing, trash-enclosure gates and stair handrails at Las Colinas hotels and corporate campuses. Repairs are scheduled around guest traffic and finished clean.
Wrought iron fences and gates in South Irving neighborhoods rust at the ground line and break at the hinges. Partners sleeve, reweld and prime so the fence stands another decade.

Slide and swing gates for yards and apartments, chain-link frame repair, ornamental iron, hinge rebuilds and operator mounting posts. Residential and commercial.
Garage railings, exterior stairs, balcony guards and handrails for hotels, offices and multifamily. Fabricated to code and welded in place to fit existing slabs.
Lintels, canopy brackets, equipment stands, pipe supports and bracing to an engineer’s drawing. Partners weld to the callout and leave welds ready for inspection.

Why Alpha Welding
A matched welder, a price agreed in advance and a job done without shutting you down.
Partners know hot-work procedures, fire watch and how to work around forklifts and trucks on a live dock.
Stick for dirty yard steel, MIG for production repairs, TIG for stainless and aluminum. No one-size-fits-all.
Early, late or weekend visits can be arranged so a bay or a hotel entrance is not blocked during peak hours.
The trailer, rack or gate stays put. The welder comes to Irving, repairs it and leaves the site clean.
How it works
From first call to a finished weld in four steps.
Pictures, the address, access rules and whether a hot-work permit or site induction is needed.
We quote from the photos, confirm partner availability and note anything that needs an engineer or a permit.
The partner checks in with your contact, confirms scope, sets screens and fire watch, and gets to work.
You inspect the repair, the welder documents what was done for your records, and payment or invoicing is handled.
Practical guide
Irving welding is mostly working steel: things that get hit by trucks, carry freight or protect buildings. Here is what that means in practice.
A dock bumper bracket takes thousands of impacts a year. Welding a new bracket to the same cracked embed plate fails again quickly. Partners inspect the embed, grind back to clean metal and, where the plate has pulled from the concrete, install new anchors or core-drill and epoxy a new plate before welding. Leveler lips are rebuilt with plate of the same thickness and a full-penetration bevel weld, because a lap weld on a lip will crack under a loaded pallet jack.
Most distribution buildings along SH-114 and near DFW Airport run hot-work permits. Partners expect that. The routine is to clear combustibles 35 feet from the arc, set welding screens, keep an extinguisher at hand, check for cardboard and shrink wrap under racks, and maintain a fire watch after the last weld. Cutting near sprinkler lines or roof deck needs extra care. Tell us if your site has a permit form and the welder will complete it on arrival.
Truck and trailer frames are heat-treated in many cases, and some manufacturers restrict welding on the frame rail flanges. Partners weld crossmembers, hangers, hinges and brackets, and repair rail cracks with a veed-out full-penetration weld and a reinforcing plate welded along its long edges only. Drilling holes in flanges or welding across the flange of a heat-treated rail is avoided. If a repair falls outside what the manufacturer allows, we tell you so the unit can go to a frame shop.
A bollard welded to a thin base plate and surface-anchored will shear on the first real impact. Where protection matters, partners core-set the pipe into the slab and fill it with concrete, or weld to a thick base plate with properly embedded anchors. Decorative bollards at hotel entrances in Las Colinas get a ground and painted finish; yard bollards get a hot-dip or zinc-rich primer and a visibility cap.
Garage railings, pool gates and trash-enclosure doors at hospitality properties are seen by guests. Partners weld with care for appearance, grind flush, prime and schedule the visit for off-peak hours. Stainless handrails and kitchen fixtures are TIG welded with the correct filler and back-purged where the inside is visible, then passivated so the weld does not rust later.
The neighborhoods between Irving Boulevard and SH-183 have wrought iron and early steel fencing that has rusted at grade. Rather than welding on rot, partners cut the post above the damage, sleeve new tube inside and weld the sleeve. Pickets are replaced to match the original spacing and profile, and the whole repair is primed before the homeowner paints.
Fleet yards and multi-building properties can set up recurring visits so dock, rack and gate repairs are grouped on one trip instead of separate calls.

FAQs
Answers to what Irving facility managers and homeowners ask most.
No. Alpha coordinates independent partner welders who travel to your site with their own equipment. There is no Alpha shop in Irving. The welder works at your dock, yard or driveway.
Usually, yes. The bay is taken out of service, screens and fire watch are set, and the rest of the dock keeps running. For hot-work permit sites, the partner follows your procedure and completes the paperwork.
Yes. Box trucks, dry vans, flatbeds and service trucks are repaired where they sit. Crossmembers, hinges, landing gear mounts and bumpers are common. Frame rail repairs are done only where the manufacturer allows welding.
Many jobs are scheduled within a day or two. Same-day visits depend on partner availability, which is better when a welder is already working along SH-114 or SH-183 that day.
Small repairs are priced as a service call plus labor; larger jobs are quoted as a project from photos. Invoicing can be set up for accounts with recurring work.
Yes. Partners replace damaged bollards, weld new pipe to base plates and set anchors, or core-drill and set pipe into the slab for higher impact resistance. Tell us what the bollard is protecting.
Yes. Stainless counters, shelving, hood brackets and handrails are TIG welded with the right filler and cleaned so the joint does not rust. Food-contact surfaces are ground and polished as needed.
Partners weld structural members when an engineer has specified the connection. Lintels, canopy brackets and supports are done to the drawing, and we coordinate with the inspector where required.
Yes. Driveway gates, ornamental fences and railings in Valley Ranch, South Irving and across the city are routine. The same partners who handle docks handle a broken hinge at home.
Clear the work area, provide parking, tell us about permits or escorts, and have a contact on site. Disconnect gate operators and move combustibles away from the weld zone.
